Morning Chili

This is not a breakfast meal but a quick throw it all in a pot (or crock pot) in the morning (before the kids are up) meal.

This is an easy version of a chili recipe from my favorite cookbook

Recipe:
Ingredients……
2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 bag frozen chopped onions
3 tbs garlic powder
3 cups beef broth
2 cans rotelle tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes aprox 15 ounce
3 tbs uncooked oatmeal
1 tbs sugar
1/4 – 1/2 cup chili powder
3 cans light red kidney beans (no drain)
Pepper

Next ……
Put everything into a large pot or crock pot (including the raw meat)
Put it on low and stir every 30 minutes.
The ground meat with slowly cook in the broth and after 5-7 hours of simmering you will have a rich velvety chili.
