Chopped Meat Freezer Meals

Standard

Here is another one of my easy meal tips.  Ground beef, chicken and turkey make easy and cost friendly meals.

I like to find large family packs on sale at my local grocery store (Kroger or Sprouts) and stock up.  Ground chicken or turkey is often half the price of beef and in my opinion just as yummy in taco’s or spaghetti.

Let’s get started!  The first thing I do is cook the meat, onions and seasoning in a skillet.  The amount of meat will depend on your family size and number of meals that you are preparing.

Use the seasoning salt sparingly as you will be adding seasoning containing salt later.

Now, it is time to separate for meals ….
Separate your meat mixture to add to the number of meals.

First Meal:
Spaghetti and Meat Sauce
….. Add some frozen green peppers, mushrooms and sauce to a portion of your meat mixture.

Put all these ingredients into a freezer bag label and freeze.  When it is time to use, defrost and heat. Boil your favorite noodle, top with sauce and parmesan cheese and you are done.

Second Meal:
Taco’s or Taco Salad
………   Add some taco seasoning
I like to add some frozen corn to ours

Label and put into a freezer bag.  Defrost and heat, put into taco shells, top with lettuce, cheese and tomatoes.
Dinner is served.

Third Meal:
Mac Burger Meal
………add some frozen peas and a pinch of chili powder to your meat mixture.

Label and freeze your meat mixture.  Defrost and heat meat mixture.  Cook up a box of noodles and cheese to the meat mixture.

Next I will share my morning one pot chili meal.
